Update...

I went in to the clinic this morning to do my beta bloodtest. I asked the nurse if I have to do it even though I got my period. She said I absolutely had to so I did. Of course the results were what I was expecting, a BFN.

I also spoke with the nurse about starting an FET cycle. She said that I have to have an appointment with the doctor first, which is what I thought. I just hope that after I meet with him, I won't have to wait a long time before starting the cycle. I made an appointment to see him through the clinic but not until December 23rd. I also made an appointment privately (not through my insurance -- remember, different system here in Israel...) but that is also not until December 9th.

Bleah. This really sucked.

((Hugs)) - I am so sorry that they had to poke you anyways today. I was thinking about you this morning and hoping that you didn't have to do it. So sorry that this didn't work.

When we did an FET before after a BFN, they asked us to wait 6 weeks to make sure my body was fully recovered, so maybe it's not the worst thing in the world to wait a little bit and make sure you are feeling good. Maybe they can get you started right after the appointment. If not, maybe we can be cycle buddies...I go to the doctor on 12/13 (if they can't move it up) and then will hopefully be cycling in January.

Thanks for the thoughts Patti. I'm okay; still very sad but doing a lot better than I was last week. Still waiting on the doctor's appointment to figure out how and when we'll move ahead.

Hi Patti and Levana! I had my follicle check yesterday and everything is looking good so far. My retrieval will be on Thursday

My doctor thinks I will have about 14 eggs and hopes that most of them will be mature. I have one follicle that is already measuring at 24 and he thinks that one is cystic so we aren't counting that one. The rest are in the 14-20 range. My uterus lining is 12.8 which I think is good?

Sounds great! 14 is a great number. I got nine this past cycle (was hoping for a bit more...) and seven were mature. Hope you make lots of beautiful embryos!

Your lining sounds great too -- nice and thick.

I was hoping my lining would be thick, I haven't had a period since 9/28 because I've been on back-to-back BCP's! Last time we had 17 eggs and 9 were mature, so this time my doctor is hoping for less eggs but more of a percentage that are mature.
