State House Speaker Andy Dillon officially joined the Democratic primary field Sunday, launching his campaign at an engine factory outside of Detroit. Dillon, who is socially conservative and lacks a strong relationship with labor, led all Democratic candidates in a recent EPIC-MRA poll. Businessman Rick Snyder -- who recently went on the air with ads billing himself "one tough nerd" -- has moved into third place in the GOP primary, according to EPIC-MRA. He now takes 12 percent of the vote to 27 percent for Rep. Pete Hoekstra and 21 percent for state Attorney General Mike Cox.
