New Yorkers say Paterson should stay

A Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday shows a majority of New Yorkers think Gov. David Paterson should finish his term, even as allegations that Paterson abused his power threaten his hold on the governor's office. Sixty-one percent of respondents said Paterson should remain in office, including 64 percent of Democrats, 57 percent of Republicans, 58 percent of independents and 56 percent of women.
