Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue (R) set April 27 as the special election date for the race to fill the seat of Rep. Nathan Deal (R-Ga.), who resigned last night after the House health care vote. The election will take place on a different race from the regularly-scheduled July primaries in the Peach State. Republicans should easily hold Deal’s district, which is one of the most conservative in the country.
