Former eBay CEO Meg Whitman spent $27.7 million in the first 11 weeks of 2010 in her campaign for governor, the San Jose Mercury News Reports. The Republican candidate has utterly shattered California spending records, leaving her campaign with only $4.5 million cash on hand. But there's more where that came from: Whitman's already donated $39 million to her own campaign, out of the $46.6 million her operation has spent on the race.
