The NRCC held its annual fundraising dinner Tuesday night, announcing in a statement from Chairman Pete Sessions that the event raked in "over $7 million" in pledges for the committee. Sessions hailed that fundraising total as a sign House Republicans have the wind beneath their wings, saying it was "proof that voters are ready for new leadership in Washington." The dinner was co-chaired by North Carolina Rep. Virginia Foxx and Michigan Rep. Fred Upton, and Upton brought in $600,000 for the committee personally.
