Florida's 19th to pick Wexler successor

Voters in Florida's 19th Congressional District will elect a successor Tuesday for former Democratic Rep. Robert Wexler, who resigned earlier this year to head a think tank focused on the Middle East. Democratic state Sen. Ted Deutch is the strong favorite to win the Palm Beach-area seat over Republican Ed Lynch and unaffiliated candidate Jim McCormick. Turnout for the special election has been running ahead of the participation rate for the February primary.
