Hoffman's weak first quarter

Former Conservative Party congressional candidate Doug Hoffman had a weak fundraising quarter in his second bid for the GOP nomination in this district. Hoffman raised less than $15,000 and loaned his campaign $100,000, and ended the quarter with $263,000 on hand and $205,000 in debt. Hoffman's GOP primary opponent, Matt Doheny, raised $513,000, including a $150,000 loan, and finished the quarter with $813,000 cash on hand.
