Some very great friends just offered us their remaining 3 embryos. We had given up on ever having children and we are now in our upper 40's. This was a windfall and there are so many issues and what ifs. They just had a child naturally and never ended up need ing their embryos. The mom is stage 4 cancer and cant even think about carrying another child and they offered them to us. We feel it will be awkward and uncomfortable to raise their children when they are around the corner basically and our children will have a brother he will probably be playing with. (THEIR NEW SON) SO MANY ISSUES!!
WHAT WOULD YOU ALL DO IN THIS SITUATION?? I NEED HELP!
I don't know, I have such mixed feelings about thios. Thanks in advance for any insight!

You need to be comfortable with your choice. The benefits are that your child will have access to their genetic medical history. They will be able to see what their genetic parents look like, etc.

But these won't be "their" children, they will be yours. You will be the one raising them, loving them, and possibly even bearing them (unless you are using surrogate).

No one is going to be able to tell you what choice is right for you. The answer is in your heart. Good luck.
