Clomid Challenge Results

Hi - I recently had the clomid challenge test to check for egg issues. I've had 3 miscarriages - the last 2 had chromosome abnormalities. I'm 29, normal karotyping, and no explanation for the chromosome problems (one was 45x, the other 69XXY). So my RE did the clomid challeng test. She thinks the results are normal - do you agree?

Day 3 - FSH=7.6, E2 = 41
Day 10 - FSH = 6.8, E2 = 440

Anything else you would recommend to explain 2 different chromosome losses? Or am I just incredibly unlucky?

I'm sorry to hear about your losses. I'm assuming your partner had blood chromosome testing, too, and it was normal - Correct?
Poor sperm can be a reason for RPL. What were your partner's count, progressive motility, and perhaps most importantly strict/Kruger morphology?

Both husband and I have normal karotyping. We haven't had any other RPL testing - I've seen 3 RE's and noone would do anything except the Clomid Challenge test. They all said chromosome issues are typically related to egg quality - not sperm quality. But becuase of my age I should have good quality eggs. Also, I got pregnant the first month all 3 times so it all seems to point to bad luck.

Do you disagree? I could ask my RE about the sperm analysis but I just saw her and she isn't recommending any more testing. I just don't know what to do before trying for a 4th time - another loss will destroy me.

Yes, Cyndi, I highly disagree (with all due respect). I have patients in my practice with RPL who have the egg quality of a 40 year old, and in fact have more patients than I want to think about who are in their teens and 20's with premature ovarian failure. Additionally, I strongly believe that poor quality sperm can result in a poor quality pregnancy which can ultimately fail.
