Thin Lining

Hi
I am 40yrs old
I am having problems with my lining, I have frozen embs to transfer but lining is only 5mm.
I have had viagra supp, IM estrogen, terbuteline, asprin and acupunture
Ultra sound showsfliud in the cavity and lining 5mm.
My history is I had mymectomy in March 08, to remove fibriods.Had hysteroscopy in June 08, which was fine
My first IVF was in July 08, lining was 10mm, 5 embs all 8 cell transfered on day 3, but BFN.
2nd IVF Oct 08, had 4blasts frozen on day 5, lining was 6mm and there was fluid in the cavity , which was aspirated but transfer postponed until lining improves.

1.Please how can I improve my lining
2.What causes fluid in the cavity and how can you get ride of it

Hi,

It sounds like you have tried a lot of the "tricks" used to improved the uterine lining. To answer your 2 questions:

1. In order to see what (if anything) else can be done to improve your lining, I would need to review all records to date. My decision would depend on such things as what dose of estrogen you took, what your serum estradiol levels were day in and day out, whether you were seeing a "fertility acupuncturist", what your last HSG showed, what your last endometrial biopsy showed, etc. etc.

2. Fluid can be due to many things. These include, and aren't limited to, intrauterine adhesions, hydrosalpinx, hormonal changes leading to fluid transudate, infection, and excessive cervical mucus "wicked up" into the endometrial cavity.

Have you seen OUR IVF success rates?

I am seeing a fertility acupunturist,
I was on 4mg deloestrogen Im for 2 days and 6mg for anothe 2day,
terbuteline 5mg 3 times a day for 12days, andviagra supp 25mg 4times a day.
I was not doing my serum estogen level, I plan to do HSG soon, as I would like to check for hydro in the tbes.
Also I plan to do endo biopsy, what would we be looking for in the eno biopsy.

I have done hysteroscopy, do i need to do another one?

Frankly, I'm surprised you didn't have serum E2 levels. Also, if you meant you took Delestrogen for only 4 days, it may take more time than that in some women to build up a "good" lining. An endometrial biopsy looks for multiple things, including infection in the uterine lining (which can cause fluid). We do the biopsy as a routine on our IVF patients BEFORE they undergo their first cycle....
