  • Not able to conceive

    Hi,

My husband and I are trying for a baby since the past one year. We had some blood tests and urine tests done which were normal. I get regular periods and ovulate regularly. Still we are not able to conceive. Can you please let us know the possible causes? What treatment should we take?

    Regards,

    Maggie

    Hi Maggie,

You should see a board certified reproductive endocrinologist (RE). He/she can most properly test you and your husband and guide you towards the most optimal treatment to achieve a pregnancy in the shortest period of time. Test may include, and may not be limited to, semen analysis, sperm DNA function testing, blood testing for your husband, hormone testing and ultrasound analysis on the third day of your menstrual cycle, documentation of ovulation, and an HSG.

    I hope this helps,

I understand what you are going through, I too have been trying to conceive for a very long time. Three years to be exact.
          Good luck.

Yeah. We had two IUI's and this month was the third IUI. I have crossed my fingers and hope for the best!

Did you also go through the IUI procedure?
