  • Could use some help and support.

I am a 28 female, Mom of 4 boys. Two which are mine and two me and ex took out of foster care because we never thought we could get preggo again. Well we finally did after 2 yrs a month after taking custody of our 2 middle boys. Well now I am remarried and want to have another baby with my new husband. However I have endo and PCOS. Which you would never guess. I am 110 lbs and tiny. It shocked my ob/gyn. Well we finally started clomid in Jan. Well I ended up getting a 9mm cyst. It was going down. But now double in size from last month. I dont know what to do. I dont understand why it wont go away so I can start meds again. I am on metformin 3x a day and prometrium to start AF. Please someone help me figure out what to do. Any advice? I am so sick of waiting this out. I feel I took one month of cloimid and have spent 6 month paying for it. If it keeps doubling in size I will never get to start meds again therefore never get preggo.

Also, on my clearblue easy fertility monitor it gets to high but never peaks. So how do I ever know I am ovulating?

    Thanks,
    Mandee

    Hi Mandee,

Welcome to INCIID! Your next step, clearly, is to see a board certified reproductive endocrinologist. Since you have "infertility" and "PCOS", and since you were evidently diagnosed with insulin resistance (hence you were placed on metformin), and since you are frustrated and since there are other disorders that can mimic PCOS that may not have been ruled out, it would definitely be in your best interest.

If you can't find a superb board certified RE near you, you're certainly welcome to come here (as I specialize in the modern diagnosis and treatment of PCOS).

    Hope this helps!

I already see a RE but I never get to talk to him. It is also his nurse which she wont let me talk to him or answer any of my questions. I just dont understand why it is now getting bigger after it was going down. I feel I will never get to start meds again cause the darn thing wont go away. I have been waiting 6 months for it to go away and now it is doubling in size then it was last month. I dont understand.

Demand to see the RE. Tell them if you can't meet with your RE to talk to him you will go to another practice and will file a complaint with the state Medical Board. It's absurd for a doctor to not take the time to talk to his patient!
