  • Beta from LMP or DPO?

    Dear Dr.
I am 35yrs,Ectopic pregnancy 2003 . Only right tube remains. Since then on Fertility treatment.
    April 16th 2009 menstruation day 1.
May 1st 2009, day 16- I had an IUI. (5 good follicles on right). Unfortunately I failed.
    May18th 2009, menstruation day 1.(
June 14th supposed to have my mens. Unfortunately did not come.
Did a preg. Test, it came to Positive Result.

To you the cycle from April 16th to May18th, would be a 28 DC or a 32 DC ?.

Please tell me also When did I probably ovulate.?

Because yesterday the 17th June was 31 days from LMP.
Had a Beta Hcg of 767.7.
Would the 767.7 be from DPO or LMP??
Can this level be singleton or multiple gestation??
Tomorrow I will have another HCG test.

Is it possible to ovulate 2 months on the same side?

    Please help me to understand.
    Thank you

    Hi Premi22,

    To address your questions:

A menstrual cycle is counted from the first day of bleeding until the day before the next menses begins. So, if someone has her period begin on 4/16 and her next menses begins 5/18, we count the days from 4/16 until (and including) 5/17 - This is 32 days.

The average person ovulates around cycle day 14, so if a period begins May 18, she ovulates on average on 5/31.

A beta of 767.7 is just that - it's 767.7. A pregnancy is usually dated according to the first day of the LMP.

Most any pregnancy can be a multiple gestation.

Yes, one can ovulate on the same side two months in a row.

    Hope this helps,

can you please give me a chart for Beta Hcg evolution as from DPO - for a singleton gestation and Twin gestation. Please.
