    hi dr,

i was wondering what is the cause of chemical miscarriages, i got pregnant 2 weeks after D&C for a late miscarriage and when i got to around 4-5 weeks i start bleeding and dr couldnt see anything on the scan so said its chemical. i got pregnant 2 weeks after this and also ended up being chemical. could it be that i didnt give my body time to heal that i ended up having them. my first miscarriage was at 19 weeks due to incomptent miscarriage. so why is it that first time it lasted that long and now cant get past 6 weeks

    Hi,
First, you need to see a board certified reproductive endocrinologist who can diagnose and treat you for recurrent pregnancy loss. Having said that, there's a high possibility that your "chemical losses" were due to conceiving so soon after a D&C, as it's known that women who conceive the first month after a pregnancy loss have an increased risk for another loss.

    Hope this helps,
