  • Dropped Beta levels at 16 days

Hello! I am an intended mother. My gestational carrier and friend is 28, healthy, and has never had any children. Our first embryo transfer failed. We just recently had our second transfer. We transferred three (3) frozen embryos which were from a 22 year old annoymous donor. We also had ICSI.

My questions: We recently had a positive test. Our levels were 67 at 14 days post transfer and dropped to 50 at 16 days. The nurse at out clinic said that the drop could have been from the result of losing an embryo that may have tried to be multiples. Is this common? Could we still be expecting? What should we now expect? Our next blood check is on Tuesday so a few more scary days left.

    Hi,
What you described is possible, though the alternative is that a singleton implanted and the beta dropped. Unfortunately, only time will tell....

If this is a failure, consider a second opinion.

    Good luck!!!!!!!
