how many follicles?

Hi,

I am taking 25 mg clomid as I had 6 mature follicles (5 on left, 1 on right) with 50 mg clomid last month. I am on cd7, and feeling the same pinching and "fullness" on the left side. I'm also having alot of cervical mucus, don't know what that's about. I think there will be multiple follicles again.

How many follicles do you use as a cutoff for not proceeding with the hcg and iui assuming that selective reduction is an option?

Hi,
The number of follicles I'm comfortable triggering depends on MANY different factors. These include, and certainly aren't limited to:
1. The age of my patient
2. My patient's underlying fertility problem(s)
3. My patient's prior fertility history
4. The blood hormone levels on the day I'm considering triggering ovulation with hCG
