time and frequency of intercourse during monitoring

Hello Dr Roseff -
I am seeing an RE and currently undergoing monitoring for my 5th IUI cycle. While I'm hopeful that this is the one, I wondered if there were times during the cycle when intercourse is encouraged/discouraged. I've heard and read that it is encouraged the day of IUI and for a couple of days afterward, but wondered about the time before IUI and again during the 2ww post-IUI. I'm using donor sperm and know that those using their partner sperm are asked to refrain prior to IUI, is that true when using DS too?

Hi,
Those using their own sperm are asked to abstain for two days before the IUI. After that, there are no restrictions. When using donor sperm, there shouldn't be restrictions at all for my patients.
