  • IVF vs natural cycle and selecting the best egg..

I was wondering if IVF is the same as a natural cycle when it comes to the dominant follicle. For example, is my largest follicle when stimming going to have the best egg in it like when doing a natural cycle where usually your body selects the best egg which becomes the dominant follicle? I know most doctors push the largest one to gain the smaller one's but at times I have lost the largest follicle to gain the smaller one's and can't help but think I may have lost the good egg. Is this the case or is it different when you are stimming vs doing a natural cycle?

    Thanks a lot!

    Hi,

During IVF stims, most of the "ripe" follilces typically have the same quality eggs as eachother.
