  • Uterine Septum/Narrow Tubes

    Hi,

I recently found out that I had a large uterine septum that took up the top half of my uterus. I had 2 surgeries to remove all of the septum. On the second surgery my RE said that he could only get a very small amount of dye to come out of each tube. He said that I have a 5-10% chance of conceiving using IUI, but a very high chance of having an ectopic pregnancy now. He says I'm a perfect candidate for IVF since my uterus healed very nicely & as he put it it is as God meant for it to be now. We do not have the money for IVF right now & we are currently saving. I was wondering if people have actually gotten pregnant naturally with such narrow tubes.

    Thanks,
    Aimie

Sorry, Aimie... Since I don't know the true status of your tubes, I can't say what your odds are of natural pregnancy.

Removing a septum with a scope through the vagina and into the uterus should have no effect on the fallopian tubes... Were your tubes in bad shape before the surgeries?
