Injectable IUI?

Hi,
I am desparately hoping your RE destroyed or removed your endometriosis at the time of the laparoscopy - Please tell me my hopes are correct....
I am of the expert opinion that if a woman ovulates regularly and normally, then taking Clomid (a drug designed for women who do NOT ovulate normally without it), it can possibly prevent pregnancy or increase the risk of miscarriage the cycle it is taken....
Natural cycle IUI in a 32 year old carries an average of about 10% pregnancy rate per attempt. Injectable drug/IUI cycles increase the odds of pregnancy due to ovulating multiple eggs.
I hope this is helpful information for you, and I look forward to your response.

P.S. - What was your AMH level? What did your husband's DNA function or fragmentation testing show?
-
While endo can come back in 6 months, the average time for it to come back from treatment is about a year.
Your lining may have been 12 mm and you may have made two eggs, but the lining can be "disordered" at the MICROscopic level on Clomid due to its antiestrogenic effects. Ovulating two eggs, rather than one, increases the odds of conception, but I doubt it doubles it.
We offer our patients a sperm DNA function and fragmentation test. If those are abnormal, the likelihood of a successful conception with intercourse, IUI, and even standard IVF (other than ICSI) are low. Regarding AMH, I find it to be a better indicator than day 3 FSH/E2 in most patients.
Hope this helps, and wish you success!
