IVF Question

Posted on here before. I have done 3 IUI's, 1st was a blighted ovum, 2nd was a chemical and third was BFN. I am now considering moving onto IVF after a break.

At 41, I produced 3 follicles using 225 iu of follistim for 7 days. If IVF stimulation is done properly is there a good chance of me producing more follicles? At what point would a IVF cycle be canceled and converted to IUI?

Hi,

You need to have a recurrent pregnancy loss workup, having had several losses. Until this is done, it doesn't make sense to go through assisted reproduction.

Thank you. I should have mentioned that I have all the genetic and RPL testing done. HSG, Saliva (for other diseases), all STD's etc. Everything came back normal except I do have a blood clotting disorder in which the perinatologist said he would start me on Lovenox once we saw a heartbeat. In the meantime just baby aspirin.
