Chances of fertilization...TI Vs IUI

Dear Dr. Roseff,

Do they chances of fertilization differ between timed intercourse vs IUI?

Here is my senerio. I was undergoing a Follistim cycle and was allowed to trigger with 8 mature follicles ranging from 18mm - 22mm. This is a timed intercourse cycle. Before you ask, yes we are well aware of the chance of HOM. What I am wondering is, if it was an IUI cycle, would my chances be the same?

Hi,

The odds of conception are higher for IUI vs. TI on a Follistim ovulation induction cycle. That's why I encourage my ovulation induction patients to be inseminated, even when sperm is "normal".
