  • Is this weird to do/ask?

I LOVE the women who do the abs classes at my gym. They do crunches straight for 30 minutes. I love it and can keep up for the whole thing when I am there. But at home, I never bother or I am bored with my abs dvd and it seems like a fraction of the workout these women provide. My problem is I can only make their class one day a week because of scheduling.

So my question is: I want to ask one of girls if she will record a 30 minute routine for me. I'll pay her whatever she thinks it's worth -- like what she'd charge for personal training for an hour, perhaps? -- And I SWEAR I won't copy it or sell it or upload it on youtube or anything else.... I just want to do her abs workout at home.

Do you think it's weird/rude/strange/imposing to ask her that?

I don't think it's weird - definitely ask! My former pilates instructor has a CD but not a DVD and I think I may get that instead of a new DVD. Once you know the routine it's actually easier (and better body position) not to have to look at anything, so a CD is probably a better choice than DVD anyway.

As long as you know them and they know you...

      it can't hurt to ask.

As a former instructor, if someone I didn't know asked me, I'd be a little hesitant but would have no problem doing it for a regular class member.
