For years I was a runner. I stopped running due to some serious hyper-stimulation on my last ivf cycle that lasted for months, required mulitple drainings, etc. and was advised to stop the running until after delivery. That was, ahem, TEN FLIPPEN' YEARS AGO! Not exactly what the doctor had in mind, I'm sure.
So anyway, I really miss running. I used to love to take my daily run. It was a time of reflection and destressing. And I can't believe it's taken me this long to get back to it.
I think I'm going to start the couch to 5K program, again, about 3 years after everyone else on INCIID took the challenge. But better late than never. I've put on some poundage in the last decade, too, so I'm going to start slow and work my way up to running 3-5K/day like in the old days.
I decided to post here to make myself more committed to the cause. I bought this great new pedometer that will track my milage and I can upload to the internet to help keep me on track.
Wish me luck!
Maybe I'll post regular updates to help keep me honest!
