so far my eating is ok today... I'm at 900 calories.. 600 left.. luckily I have a meeting that starts tonight at 6:30 so that will eliminate the night time eating but I feel like snacking and I feel like snacking on more than carrots or celery....

    Where's everyone else?

no exercise today because it's a rest day.

Eating has been great. I have about 600 calories left for dinner too. I feel very motivated.

But, I am a tad annoyed... I guess I shouldn't let it bother me... but I'm trying to find 5 other women to go in on group personal training. It is an amazing deal - 1 hour 2x a week for 12 weeks for $349. The trainer/facility is top-notch... the trainer I'm trying to arrange this with has an undergrad in clinical exercise physiology and master's degree in human physiology and played professional basketball herself and has trained even pro athletes there. It works out to about $14 an hour and it is a total deal for the expertise we'd get plus the facility is amazing. So I've been asking around and all these moms I know who have been shopping around but won't pay for other trainers or classes or gyms in the area (and they'd be way more expensive and the staff is no where near as knowledgeable if you ask me) STILL think $349 is too pricey. Hello??? I notice that hideous purse on your arm probably cost you that much and, no, it does not make your butt look smaller. You cannot beat this, if you ask me.

But on the other hand, I think it comes down to goals and commitment... they really don't have a goal and a plan to get there and aren't committed to putting in the work to see a change.

Another totally unsuccessful day. It's going to turn around soon, I just feel it.

Yes, I am rolling my eyes at me, too.

I recommend you read a couple of books, these have really motivated me. You can surely find the first two at the library, possibly the 3rd. Not sure I'd pay for the 3rd if you can't find it though.

Goals! by Brian Tracy -- the first half is good, it's super easy read, just a bunch of little motivating tid-bits. The second half sorta goes into how to be motivated to be a better salesman.

Body for Life by Bill Phillips -- I kind of think of it as the bare-bones basics bible of fitness and nutrition.

The Eat Clean Diet by Tosca Reno -- Another easy read. I found it motivating. She is a tad hard-core with diet and her cooler plans amount to something like only 900 calories a day. She is married to the guy who owns a bunch of fitness magazines and she basically has her own magazine called Oxygen and Clean Eating. I suspect she is not able to maintain her amazingly low weight because current pictures I see of her, she is always hiding behind something!

hang in there and keep trying!
