    I just discovered sparkpeople.com.

I had heard about before, but without really knowing the details I mentally dismissed it. Until now, when I took some time to explore it. And it is better than any other WL site I have seen, including WW...and it's FREE. It's a comprehensive approach to all areas (fitness, nutrition, water intake, everything), including tracking all of those areas, and returns some very helpful reports.

I took the liberty of creating a INCIID PNOers team...come join me?

How do you think it compares to MyPlate? That is what I currently use and have been very successful there

i'd love to join something like this with people (m)

i "know" as a motivator, but it seems to be mostly directed at weightloss and i don't really need to lose weight... i DO need to work out more and eat more healthy but it isn't clear to me that the website will work if i'm not trying to lose?

On the nutrition tracker, it allows you to set the things you track. So if it's sodium or cholesterol or vitamins (or all of them), you customize what it shows you and what it tallies as well as where you should be with intake (or if you're over).

It does the same for exercise, planning what you will do and tracking as you do it (though I haven't gotten into this section too much yet).

MyPlate but at first blush I would say that Spark has more of a member presence whereas Plate seems better suited for an individual contributor (some one requiring less support and cheerleading). But if it aint broke, don't fix it! And if it's actually working, stick with it!

post a link and I'll look into it.

Believe it or not, I don't like the on line weight loss tracking sites. Funny, I know, since I can waste a helluva lota time infront of the computer!! But I like writing everything down in my old fashioned notebook

                I can't find yooooouuuuuuu....

LOL. Searched on Inciid and PNO - maybe I need the exact name?

SparkPeople looks great to me so far...I actually found the food entry a bit easier than Weight Watchers, and like the way it tallies everything. Like the community forums and inspirational stories too. Thanks for sharing the site! Hope to see you guys over there...

LOL! The link to me to a huge picture of a ...juicy hamburger and fries! (It was a local popup ad.)

Honestly? Motivation is welcome but I don't and really can't count calories or worry about dietary specifics. I know exactly what it takes to lose weight and I am either mentally willing to do it or not. And currently my biggest enemy is winter depression. But I will happily check in and cheerlead on this site if others feel like it is something that helps them. But frankly, it would be nice if D&F were a bit more active like it was in the old days.
