    What is your favorite cheat food?

    If you cheat once, are you more likely to continue to cheat and derail your weight loss?

    What is the one go to food you have in your diet that is fulfilling?

    I read that if you are in the middle of a craving...literally staring down that piece of chocolate cake and you make a fist you can overcome your craving.
    I challenge you...try it and report your findings.

    Chocolate chip cookies: can't stop eating them!

    I can usually stop cheating once I am in a better mental frame of mind.

    Go to food: nuts, cheese, fruit

    I am not sure about the cake and fist deal; I find it incredibly unfair that I can't eat it and my skinny DH can eat anything and still *looses" weight! But rather than wallow in my misery of injustice I usually find some way to redirect my annoyance and craving is better. Like a brisk walk, a nice cup of tea, other something the opposite of the craved object. A friend suggested cracking and eating walnuts or other nuts very very slowly. Salt can sometimes take my mind of sugar, which is my downfall. Lately I have also taken to dissolving one of those fuzzy multivitamin/mineral tabs in bubbly water in the evening. The tabs are sweet enough to give me a little satisfaction and the fuzz fills my stomach.

      I like cake...a lot.

      No, and I make room for cheating.

      What is the one go to food you have in your diet that is fulfilling?

      I make these really healthy muffins. They taste great and are extremely filling. I make a bunch and keep them in the freezer. I eat one most weekdays.

        I can cheat here and there but I have gotten into a pattern of allowing myself to have something sweet everyday and that turned into my current 30 pound weight gain.

        What is the one go to food you have in your diet that is fulfilling?
        Yoplait light yogurt.
        I love all the pie flavors!

        I can't find the article. I want to say I saw it in the newspaper this weekend but those are already recycled. I can say this didn't work for me...I tried it. What does work for me is to replace it with hot tea or gum. I chew mint gum all day long. Not good for my jaw but it really helps!

            This is the basic recipe. I make a few alterations, like I don't use dates. I use dried mixed fruit instead. I also add cinnamon and vanilla and only use whole wheat flour.

            I brought these to a brunch recently and had 5 people ask me for the recipe. They are really good!
