I made it to the gym 4 times last week. Focusing on fruit and vegetable intake. Added strength training to my routine, thanks to my "free" personal training orientation. Logged 20 miles last week. Hope to log the same this week. I have M, T, W, S, on my calendar to go this week...I'm down 2.2 pounds this week. I do workout at night given my schedule. It is hard to fall asleep and it is hard to stay asleep so I'll have to possibly cram my workout into an earlier schedule, or it may be just me getting used to the change in adreneline or something....

I haven't been to the gym since last Monday. It was just one of those weeks. I want to go tonight, but I don't know if I can swing it with Valentine's Day.
I did work out at home and was pretty good with my diet, so I'm down another pound. DH's present is a really nice dinner tonight, so I'm going to have to work hard this week.
The kids have a half day this week. I'd like to go ice skating or something like that, but my house is a mess and we're having two birthday parties this week, so I don't know that I can take the afternoon to do that instead of clean.

Weighed in at WWs on Friday, was down 1.8, for a total of almost 9 lbs. Then the weekend struck! I wrote everything down I ate and used almost all my flex points for the week, but I had planned on it. Saturday was DS's bday and we had a big family party here, plus dinner out on Friday and breakfast, yikes!
It's gorgeous here today, I should be out walking but I was working the book fair at school over lunch, came home and ate and now heading back for DS's Valentine's party.
I figure any loss on the scale this week will be a victory! Even staying the same will make me happy and if I gain, I know why...~jj

totally loving the rhodiola rosea! I swear the stuff is magic. I got a cheap bottle from amazon, but I saw today it's sold at Whole Foods, although it was like 3x as expensive there...
I missed weigh in last week. But I'm ok if I go once a month. I'll probably skip this Thursday because it's my birthday and I need to go to a store to pick up a chair I ordered and it's a long drive.
Exercise has been good. I'm going to go back to my personal trainer 2x a week starting in 2 weeks. I have to look at the calendar and figure out how many sessions to buy. I've been going once a week - or less due to all the snow storms - to save money and I notice I definitely get more out of it if I go more often.

I'm staying on track
I'm trying to put more whole grains and veggies into my life. I actually have been making some great veggie stir fries.
I'm keeping up with the exercising. Doing the couch to 5K approach (on my own, not the actual program). So I'm up to jogging about 15 minutes out of every 30 (2 min jog, 2 min walk) I'm on the treadmill. I miss the days I could run for 5-7 miles at a time no prob. That is my real goal.
The other thing that has been hugely helpful is my iPad app - Lose it. It is made for the iphone or touch, but can run on my iPad. I've been recording everything in there (food, exercise, daily weight). What I like about it is that I really try to record not just calories or fat, but also sugar, protein, fiber, carbs, blah, blah, blah. Then I can get daily/weekly/monthly reports that show how much of all of these I'm getting. And I have to say, I've been exceeding all my goals for getting more fiber, veggies, fruit, and protein.
Anyway, according to the iPad, I am down 12.8 pounds. I feel like I've reached a sort of zone now and that the weight should keep coming off more steadily. I find it easier to "diet" the longer I do it. It is the getting started weeks that are hardest for me. If I can get through a month, I'm good to go.
I have definetly noticed that it is harder to get pounds off now that I'm in my mid-40s. Blah. Just another crappy thing about getting old.
My DH is taking me out this weekend on a date night (yay!) I'm going to work extra hard these next few days with diet/exercise so I can splurge a little on Sat night.

Ran 7.3 miles today
I'm not really trying to beat my total mileage from January... okay... maybe I am. So, I guess what I mean is that if I do my best and work hard, I won't be disappointed if it doesn't add up to more than January's total. This month is shorter, after all. Still having achy ankles after a run. Not amused by that.
I'll weigh again in a couple of days, or maybe tomorrow. Waiting until I've worked this off before I weigh again. Its not my fault, someone asked me to bring the dessert, and desserts are what I like to do.
