A little early. Worked out 5 days this week and I hope to work out at least 4 times next week. A new request...list five of the songs on your workout playlist...I think we could all use a boost of new music variety.. Here's mine..(don't laugh)..1) Free Fallin' Live - John Meyer 2) American Girl - Tom Petty 3)The Saints Are Coming - U2 & Green Day 4) No One Like You - Scorpions (don't laugh) 5) Lonely Is the Night - Billy Squier 6) New Divide - Linkin Park 7) Toxic - Brittney Spears 8) Opening - Phillip Glass Ensemble (my favorite instrumental to cool down to). Anyone else?

this week might be a challenge with exercise and school vacation.

Here are 5 random songs that are on my wish list in itunes - so I haven't bought them, but I usually wait till I have a lot of songs in there and buy a whole bunch at once. I tend to buy lots of dance mixes and they all start to sound exactly the same and I couldn't tell you a single title or artist unless I looked at the ipod:

Mas Que Nada (feat. Black Eyed Peas) by Sergio Mendez
If You Knew by Chris Lake
    Hello Hurricane by Switchfoot
    Panic Switch by Silverspun Pickups
Put Your Hands On by Halo

This past week was okay. I'm down maybe half a pound. I never got to the gym. Again, one thing after another. I did work out at home for at least an hour every day. I also went to the pool once and ice skating once. One of my swimsuits was old and stretched out, so I bought a new one. Always depressing. My kids and DH say it looks nice, so I'm going to try and convince myself of that.

Give me strength...we have a lot of leftover birthday cake. Yesterday I had 2 pieces. I cut them small, but still. I did manage to keep my calories in check, despite the cake. I just didn't eat much.

It is unlikely that I'll get to the gym this week, but I should be able to work out at home again and go swimming with the kids.

The trick this week is going to be not falling too far behind at work and eating well while the kids are on vacation. I also have a very sore neck this morning. Ugh.

weighed in on Friday, down another 3.4 lbs, total loss of 11.1 lbs - yay me!

I've been really good about trying new recipes and trying to avoid the frozen meals, too much sodium!

Haven't been working out, I know I need to get out there and walk, but rain and snow in the forecast here the next couple of days.

        Have a great week, all!

I forgot to answer your music question.

I also have Lonely Is the Night and American Girl on my Ipod. Thanks for the tip about No One Like You. I had forgotten about that song. I'm going to log in to my account later and buy it!

          Here are 5 songs:

          Machinehead - Bush
Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana
          Fighter - Christina A.
Are You Gonna Be My Girl - Jet
Girl You Really Got Me - Van Halen

Ugh, I am having a very bad time just now. We had a school vacation last week but the weather was lousy and I was not inspired to ski on ice in fog. At least I worked out every day I was not skiing in the hotel gym. Jeans feeling a little tight. I did my cardio routine but not much else at the club today. Will weigh in Friday but dreading it. Have been indulging more than I should.

I missed using my light box last week and had the feeling that I need to up the rhodiola rosea amount I am taking (posted about this on PNO), but worried about the jitters I had when I first started taking the full dose. I guess jitters are better than full-blown SAD.

Generally just really down and wanting to crawl back under my winter rock. Happened upon some old family letters last night and got very depressed reading about how our happy family life disintegrated, and all the things leading up to and after my father's death at age 40. It was the last thing I should be doing in mid-February!

you might want to try adding Vitamin D and a Vitamin B Complex. I've read about why to take these - but can't find anything easily to support why. Vitamin D is what the sun helps your body make and Vitamin B Complex has been shown to help improve mood.

                Staying on track!

I slacked a little on exercise, but for the most part stayed on track food-wise. I even handled a date-night dinner pretty well. Yay me!

I'm down 15.2 and trying to be extra good on exercise this week because my Ladies Night Out this Friday is a "chocolates galore" party. chocolate martinis, chocolate fountain, etc. Eegads. maybe I should sign up for an Ironman now.

Also, I bought a food scale today to help with measuring meat. I struggle with figuring out how much 6 oz of say fish is. I've heard that a deck of cards is about 6oz, but I want to be more precise so I learn better portion control moving forward.

                    *Down 5 pounds in 2011.
                    *Longest run is 7.3 miles.
*Trimmed one minute off my 3 mile time each week for the past 4 weeks.

Lately I run while listening to The Wheel of Time, book 1. I've listened to 10 or 12 of the books already, but I'm starting over from the beginning because once I caught up to the writer, I had to wait years between installments, and I've forgotten much. I didn't think I'd like running to a story rather than music, but I really do, and I think that has contributed to longer times spent on the treadmill. And my Brooks are rockin' running shoes. I never thought of myself as a Brooks girl before, but I wore my old mizunos once last month and I couldn't believe I put up with those so long. Next time you're in the market for running shoes, give Brooks a look. (That's what dh is currently running in as well, and we typically never run in the same brand.)

I just bought my first pair of Brooks and LOVVEEEE them! I went to a running store they performed a video on the treadmill to see if I pronate or not, then did a scan of where my feet bear weight (uneven for sure). So I bought a pair of glycerin Brooks and also bought the insoles, plus they sized me one size larger. Who knew..? My posture is better, my feet don't get numb on the elliptical anymore and this is the only pair where I've never blistered with a new pair of shoes. I'm a Brooks convert for sure...
