  • Weekly Check-in

    Please give us an update!

I am down 2.5 lbs this week. Sometimes the math makes no sense.

I ate pretty well last week. I was STARVING at my ILs' on Thanksgiving, but I made up for the lack of calories, by eating cake. Otherwise, I did well.

Exercise was minimal. I happened to be near the gym one night, so I rode the bike for 15 minutes, then had a very bad asthma attack. I tried walking a few days later and had a little one. I tried walking again yesterday and did fine. I'm going to try and slowly get back in to things this week.

I have 2 food events this week. I'm not entirely sure what the food is exactly, so I don't know how bad it will throw me off.

Well I went to my WI on Friday morning, after eating what felt like all day on Thanksgiving - I did well with my choices, didn't deprive myself of anything, but didn't gorge on dessert, kept my wine intake pretty low, but it was pretty much 6 hours of straight eating! Needless to say I was bloated that night and when we got home I drank tons of water, but still couldn't shake the bloated feeling. That resulted in a 3lb. gain at the scale on Friday. I wasn't upset, I knew that the gain would be temporary and this morning when I hopped on the scale at home I was down those 3lbs., plus some - looking forward to official WI this Friday :-)

Hoping to get out and walk some this week, otherwise I'm busy in the house with the normal housework and getting Christmas stuff out and downstairs.

    Have a good one all!

Good job, girls! kd, I hope you're all better soon - that was sure a lingering bug you had! JJ - I hear ya on the bloat, lol .

I was up 0.6 but am okay with that. I honestly expected it to be more after 2 Thanksgiving feasts, an unexpected date night (i.e. no time to plan) and at least one other meal out. But I worked at portion control and didn't waste calories on food I kinda like and saved them for things that were yummy (my MIL's stuffing is soooooo good, and my mom's apple pie -they were worth it!)

I need to get back in the saddle with tracking, I've been slacking with that due to being busy and not on the computer. So that is my resolution for this week. I think I'll be happy to make it through December with minimal losses or at least no net gain.

Thanks for the accountability of checking in each week!

        Ugh...

I'm up 2 pounds this week. I'm sure it was the wine, as I didn't really overindulge in food due to the gallbladder problem. I'm still waiting for a call from the surgeon's office on a surgery date. I Don't know why it takes so long, but suspect the holiday has slowed down the process.

Anyway, on Thanksgiving morning I ran 6 miles non-stop. For me, that is a long run, so I was really, really pleased. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten in a run since - so am heading out the door this morning before rain comes.

        Have a great week ladies!!!

PS. I'm going to my DH's office x-mas party at a fancy hotel on Saturday night. I'm looking forward to shopping for a new party dress in a dress size that is far, far away from last year's dress size.

Well, I am a week late, but still need to check in. I was up over T'giving, but back down now. I hit my 10 pound mark! I think this is going to be a tough point mentally for a few reasons, but I'm hanging in there.
Also, I'm doing WW online, and I just got notified of the
"new plan" and it's decreased my points for the week?? What's up with that??
