  • First check-in of the year!

How's it going? Are you back in the swing of things?

This past week has been much better, although far from perfect. I'm down 1.5 lbs from last Monday. Actually, I'm down 1 of those lbs from yesterday. I started tracking again yesterday, which I haven't done in a few weeks.

I went to the gym 3 times, went ice skating, and went swimming twice. More so than the weight, I really noticed that my muscle definition has decreased since I got sick. I'll be happy to earn that back. I am feeling much stronger now and am motivated by the new year.

I was down .2 on Friday's weigh in - I'll take that after Christmas :-)

However, no, I am not yet back on track - starting that today. The weekend's eating was horrendous! And I barely tracked anything. I chose that, I think I needed a weekend to just eat and not worry about what I was eating. I may pay for that at the scale this week, but that's ok. I'm back on track today and getting back on plan and back to moving.

I am back in the swing of things beginning today! :o)

I'm down 1.2 pounds from a few days ago - so woot! Here we go!

Up'ed my milage from 2.5 to 3 miles this past week. Trying to get back up to 5-6 per run that I was up to prior to my gallbladder surgery. Slowly, slowly.

I'm joining you ladies! I've been carrying an extra 20 lbs for 2-3 years, and I'm sick of it. DH needs to lose a LOT of weight, so we both joined WW online. I've done WW successfully before, and I'm honestly pretty pumped to do this. I've got 2 pairs of jeans that I bought a couple of years ago, and I am determined to get into them. I've also got a trip to Florida in April, and a 30th college reunion in May, so I am highly motivated!

I was up 0.4 but honestly glad it wasn't more. New year, here I come!

We have made major lifestyle changes at our house...m

And while it has been a bit of a rough start, I think it will pay off. My ds had the gig food allergy testing done a couple years ago and it was recommended at that time to take him off all dairy and wheat. We did it for about 8 months but no one else changed their diet so it was really challenging. So between all the health issues in my house, ie very elevated cholesterol in dh, behavior difficulties in ds, some attention issues with dd and severe endo and chronic acne for me, we have made the decision to cut grains out of our diet, no wheat or gluten at all. We are focusing on a high protein, paleo type diet, with lots of fruit and veggies, organic dairy in moderation and a few carbs like rice and potatoes. Both dh and I are already down a couple pounds. I hope to get down at least ten more and hope to just feel better overall, so tired of feeling so tired all the time. I can already tell a difference with that. Anyway, hope to check in here regularly to help keep me honest
