  • Weekly check in...

Let's hear it, ladies (and gents?!?).

I was down 1 lb. on Friday - surprised by that, so so close to goal and even closer to 50 lbs. - hope to get there this week.

Just doing the same old, same old w/ WWs, trying to incorporate some exercise. I had hoped to join a gym once I made my goal at WWs, using the $ I've been paying for WWs to help offset the cost of the gym, but things are lean around here and it looks like I'll have to get a j-o-b - blah! Don't get me wrong, I don't mind working, it's just hard to find a job that fits what works for us - part-time, not 5 days a week, etc., I hope I find something. I did submit 3 resumes last night, we'll see...

Look around. My gym w/ a pool is dirt cheap. $215/yr for a family membership w/ my health insurance rebate. There aren't any classes, but I don't miss them.

My weight kept fluctuating this week. Up a pound one day, down a pound the next. This morning morning I'm up a pound from last Monday. I ate pretty well. I went to the gym twice. I worked out at home every day except one, when I was bone tired.

Ooh, Jen - almost 50 lbs! Good for you! I lost 50 lbs on WW 10 years ago. Over the past few years, I put 20 back on, so I have come back to WW.

I think I did ok for my first week. I'm still tryng to figure out the points, since it's different than it was before. My overall impression is they are trying to steer us toward "real" food and away from processed (especially carbs), which is a good thing. I had movie popcorn on Saturday, and even though I counted the points, I was really bloated from all the salt. I still feel icky from that.

But, I lost 2 lbs, so I feel good! I'm going to start amping up the exercise, too. I walk the dog everyday, and do the elliptical here and there, but I need to be more consistent with that.

Hope everyone has a great week.

        my update

Down 1.6 pounds last week. Hooray! Getting back to pre-Christmas weight.

Last night I had chinese - sodium city. I WILL eat clean the rest of the week.

I ran 18 miles this week - building my base for a 10K or two this Fall.

          I'm late!

Hi guys - great job everyone. Unfortunately I am stalled. Haven't gained or lost (still have my 2 lb from Christmas), but mentally I need to get back in the game. Real life has been kinda hectic and intense. I got back on the treadmill today and feel better already. I need to get my momentum back and not be so hard on myself.
