How did everyone do this week? I was sick since last Thursday, and really lost my appetite. The scale was down another 4.8 lbs today (I consider this really a 2 week loss, since last week I lost nothing), a total of 12 lbs in 6 weeks! I'm very pleased, although I am going to be extra careful this week so I don't gain any rebound weight now that I'm feeling better. My goal is still to lose 20, but I'm hopeful I can go further.

I keep trying to focus on exercise, but getting sick knocked me flat again. I'm so tired of crazy busy weekends, too. I think I'll have all this time, and then I feel like all I do is run endless errands, cook and clean, and then drop into a heap.

    How did everyone else do?

I'm sorry that you were sick. DH and the kids have had the stomach bug. I'm holding my own so far.

I'm down 2.5 lbs this week. That brings me down to where I was before we went away for the weekend, so I'm not really counting it as a true loss. I worked out at home every day, went swimming once and went to the gym 5 times. Diet was mostly good.

Bad bad bad... I was up 1.6 at Friday's WI. I way over indulged during the week, 2, 3 chocolates per night, which just made me crave more chocolate and carbs during the day, and I blew it. Just when I was 2 lbs. from goal, I am now closer to 4 lbs - blah!

But I own it, I recognize the issue and I'm trying to get back in gear this week - though the weekend was tough! DS's bday was Sunday - went out to dinner Saturday night to a hibachi place - sodium and butter/oil through the roof! Sunday we took 11 boys to the movies and went through 4 giant buckets of popcorn - the boys ate 3, DH & I most of the other. Then there was cookie cake and brownies... sigh!

Here's hoping for a loss this week, any little bit will be ok w/ me...

i can never resist popcorn at the movies.

And I adore Hibachi. Is it really so bad? They seem to use so little oil.

Jeanne - I, too, cannot resist movie popcorn, and lots of "butter" - totally worth it to me :-)

As far as hibachi, per WWs, the points aren't horrible, and I guess when they're cooking for a table of 8 people, the butter and oil are ok, but it seemed like a lot to me. I still love it, though!

          I love to eat, a lot :-)

I'd like to join you all, please.

I am joining WW for the... eighth time, maybe? I've lost count.

Since moving to New Jersey in 2005, I have gained steadily, always up, never not once down, and weigh 52.8 lbs more than I did when I arrived. Granted, I was running at the time and I don't do a n y t h i n g now. There isn't a night that goes by that I don't fall asleep thinking about how different tomorrow will be, how it is the first day of the rest of my life. But then the day starts and it's no different.

            I don't eat breakfast.
I eat too much for lunch.
I eat whatever candy/chocolate/baked goods are in the the office.
            I eat too much dinner.
I snack and/or drink wine every night.
            I stay up too late.
I go to sleep thinking about how tomorrow will be different, for sure this time.
I am too tired to get up and exercise.
I sleep until the last possible moment.
            Repeat.

I walked about a mile into work yesterday and I was completely out of breath. It was disgusting. I was talking on the phone and breathing so hard it sounded like I was running.

I find myself laying down to watch TV at night now, it's more comfortable than sitting.

I catch myself in the mirror and I am fat. Fat, fat, fat, fat, fat. Slumped shoulders, saggy face, big belly. My belly extends further than my very ample bosom. Nothing fits well, and certainly nothing looks good.

In the last several days I have had a sweet taste in my mouth. Like there is a crystal of sugar at the back/side of my tongue. So I Googled "sweet taste in mouth," and the most common reason given was... diabetes. I haven't been to a doctor, so I don't have a diagnosis. Whether or not I actually have diabetes, one thing is for sure: this cannot go on. I do not want to be this person.

I want to eat healthy food.
I want to exercise and feel energized by it.
I want to have a strong posture and look good.
I want to look great in my clothes...and out of them.
I want to sleep well and get up well.
            I want to feel good.

So here I start. I am joining WW online just as soon as I hit the post button here. Wish me luck. I look forward to having some friends to share this with...

You can do it! It is hard to get started. You just have to push through at first and then it will get easier. I know, I know, easier said than done.
