  • Once preclamptic, always preclamptic? (prev pgs ment)

Hi Dr. Cusick: You have helped me years ago and it is nice to see you again.

In '02 with my DD I was on modified bedrest in the third trimester for preclampsia. With DS in '04 I was on strict bedrest the first month for unexplained bleeding and then strict bedrest 2nd and 3rd trimester for severe preclampsia... I was hospitalized for my last month. My first pg was a cake walk as far as the delivery. My DS was far from that and they almost lost both of us (no c-sction).

I am awaiting an appt with a new peri, but wanted your opinion before we do our FET this Fall...

If my health is better (lower weight, meds for BP (Benicar) and (BuSpar) for anxiety.....)

Is there a high chance I will be preclamptic? And as or more severe? Are those meds allowed while pg?

I am not trying to get out the crystal ball or anything, but would appreciate your opinion.

    Rachelle

btw I will be 43 this year

    Hi R

Hope all are well- good to hear you are getting tuned up for another pregnancy, remeber your vitamins with folic acid

with 2 previous pregnancies complicted by preeclampsia, you risks for recurrence are very high (60-70%)- when and how severe would be the unknown

Although disputed by some, daily abby aspirin started early in pregnancy may help to delay or modify the severity of preeclampsia
