Nevada Gov. Jim Gibbons saw his reelect numbers tick up in a Las Vegas Review-Journal/Mason Dixon survey released Friday. The governor still trails former state Attorney General Brian Sandoval by seven points in the Republican primary, but that's down from a 16-point gap last month. Here's the catch, for Gibbons supporters: The survey was conducted Monday through Wednesday, only partially after Gibbons had a heated confrontation with local television reporters asking whether he'd brought a woman with him to the NGA meeting in Washington last weekend.
