Tennessee Senate Minority Leader Jim Kyle ended his campaign for the Democratic Party's nomination for governor Friday, declaring that his duties in the legislature were drawing off too much time from the campaign. Kyle cited Tennessee's ban on state lawmakers raising money while the legislature is in session as an important obstacle to his candidacy, as well as the state's growing Republican lean.
