Branstad agrees to debates

Former Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad will participate in three primary debates as he faces a challenge from conservative candidate Bob Vander Plaats in his fight for the GOP nomination. The first meeting will be in Sioux City on April 7 followed by another debate in Cedar Rapids on May 1. Branstad also agreed to participate in the Des Moines Register debate, which has not yet been scheduled.
