Texas Republican Gov. Rick Perry endorsed former Colorado Congressman Scott McInnis for governor, hours before the state's primary caucuses began Tuesday. In a letter, Perry praised McInnis, who's facing a little-known primary opponent hoping to draw support from the tea partiers among whom Perry is a favorite. "I'm writing to tell you that there is only one choice in this race to get Colorado moving forward again: Scott McInnis," Perry said in the letter.
