President Obama is due in Boston Thursday evening for a pair of DNC events that expected to bring in $2.5 million for the party. The president will participate in a fundraising reception at the State House and a dinner at the Boston Opera House; 700 people paying between $200 and $1,000 are expected to attend the first event and 150 people paying $30,400 per couple are expected at the latter. Expected guests include Vicki Kennedy, the widow of the late Sen. Ted Kennedy, former Sen. Paul Kirk, and Attorney General Martha Coakley.
