Barnes leads Georgia cash race

Former Democratic Gov. Roy Barnes ended last quarter with $2.8 million in the bank for his comeback bid for governor of Georgia. After raising $900,000 in the first three months in the year, Barnes has more cash on hand than any other candidate in the race and has some $2.2 million more than his closest Democratic primary rival, state Attorney General Thurbert Baker.
