Nev. group pledges six-figure weekly buys

The Committee to Protect Nevada Jobs -- a group led by Democratic consultant Dan Hart with the aim of getting embattled GOP Gov. Jim Gibbons renominated this year -- plans to air "somewhere north of $100,000 a week" in ads, Hart said. The first ad attacks former state Attorney General Brian Sandoval for his role in a 2003 court case that lowered the bar for the Nevada Legislature to raise taxes.
