California Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer posted an imposing fundraising number for the first quarter of 2010, pulling in $2.4 million and ending the first three months of the year with $8.7 million in the bank. In Ohio, former GOP Rep. Rob Portman kept packing away resources for his Senate campaign, raising $2.35 million and reporting $7.6 million on hand. Compare those numbers to Boxer's for a sense of how impressive they are: Portman's not an incumbent and he's campaigning in a state less than half the size of California.
