Former Vice President Walter Mondale endorsed Minnesota House Speaker Margaret Anderson Kelliher for governor in the packed Democratic primary, writing in a fundraising email to supporters that she is "the only candidate in the race with the experience" to prepare a new budget and "ready to be governor the day after the election." His backing comes just over a week before state Democrats choose a which candidate they'll endorse in the race.
