Far away from Tallahassee, President Obama told a crowd of Florida Democratic donors during a visit to Miami Thursday that the special election this week in the state's 19th Congressional District represented an endorsement of the new health care reform law. Republicans, Obama said, cast the race as "a referendum on health care, a referendum on the stimulus." To applause, he continued: "And you know what, it was." Democrat Ted Deutch won the strongly blue district by more than 25 percentage points.
