  • I had such high hopes for Spitzer ...

He was really the last politician I would have suspected of doing something so stupid and hypocritical. And it's not that I object to prostitution. In fact, I believe it should be legalized. But how can a man who hangs his entire career on integrity and rooting out corruption, turn around and engage in criminal activity -- a criminal activity that he himself had prosecuted while an attorney general!! I am so disillusioned. No wonder we are a generation of skeptics.

No kidding! I am in SHOCK! I was in the car and heard this on the radio and nearly had to pull over to listen again. I am flabbergasted. How could anyone in his position be SO stupid?

My husband works in the NY polical scene and I can't wait to hear the full story (as he knows it) when he gets home later.

A pretty sad day for New Yorkers.

It makes me sad. And angry. He was going to change Albany. We finally had someone who was going to make some changes to this state. And now this. He is no better than the rest of them. There will be no change in Albany. None.

He is nothing but a good for nothing hipocrite. Never liked his smug mug and I think he has proven a point. It is always the people who scream they are moral the loudest who have the most skeletons in their closets.

I hope he gets nailed and has to do time!
