I swear, the condition of our country and our world today makes me so depressed.
We are fighting an absolutely hopeless war that we can't win but that we'll be in for a long, long, long time to come--for reasons I will never understand.
There has never, ever been peace in the world and there never, ever will be.
The economy is going down the tubes, people are losing their jobs and their houses, gas and food prices are going through the roof--and oil companies are making record profits and CEOs are receiving million dollar salaries/bonuses. The gap between the rich and the poor is huge and growing.
Our environment is being trashed and weather is getting worse and worse--I believe in a global weather change and I believe people have a lot to do with it.
Politicians are crooked and corrupt and immoral. Take out one Governor of NY who broke the law and you end up with a brand new one who just admitted that both HE and HIS WIFE had affairs.
Education in America is useless, it teaches to the test only and yet the test results are not strong and we still graduate kids who can't read, write, or spell. All they do is txtspk all day long, they don't care about learning or using their brains.
Sometimes I get so depressed. I want my son to live in a better world than the one I grew up in. But I don't think he will.
