All he does is manipulate facts to support his philosophy. When I hear the blatent mis-truths that he repeats, even clearlly knowing they are mis-truths, it just makes me so livid. Of COURSE people must be totally confused about why anyone would support Obama or oppose the Iraq invasion or whatever his cause of the week is if they listen to him. The thing is, he just out and out lies so much that I don't even want to take on anything he says. I have to say I do question why people would continue to pay attention to people who have been proven to be wrong time and time again.
He lost me long ago with his insightful (NOT) comments on feminism. Something akin to feminism being established so that ugly women could make it in the world. He's repeated this theory many times on his show.
It totally explains his 3 (or is it 4?) marriages. I think they were all to waitresses or dancers or something. Not that they didn't make perfectly wonderful, young wives for him.
Does anyone actually take this guy seriously anymore? (That's a genuine question.) I didn't think he was seen as a serious commentator.
Yes. I have a LONG commute and scan through talk radio on occasion. The people who call in to him are truly scary. They see him as a truthteller. Some of his stuff is rather tounge in cheek (Barack the Magic Negro song) but he also just repeats lies to support his statements.

I honestly don't know how you tolerate listening to it.
Haven't read the endorsement - don't know specifically what he said AND I'm not an American (so what do I know?) but when I heard about it that was my first though. Sorry don't hate me.
Fox News does. They've been talking about Rush constantly since last night. Everytime I tune in it's either about Rush saying Powell chose Obama because he's black or how Obama is a radical and a socialist.
For kicks I tuned into MSNBC and listened to 10 minutes of Joe Scarborough praising Sarah Palin for her intelligence. At least some networks try to be balanced.

I think it would be silly to suggest that race played no part. I mean, Obama is a black man. That's who he is and its pretty impossible to separate that aspect of who he is from all the other aspects of what he represents. But to listen to what Powell said about his reasonings, about what things disturbed him about McCain, about what things gave him confidence in Obama, and to ignore all that he said and reduce it to Obama being black is absurd. And just like Rush.

But if that's the case, why don't I like Sarah Palin for VP? We're both women, but I think she is a fantastically poor choice.

Morning Joe is The Only semi-balanced thing on MSNBC that I've ever noticed. Some days, though, you will hear Joe Scarborough dissing Palin and McCain right along with Mikah and the rest of them. They sometimes let Pat Buchanan talk too. I actually really like this show, in spite of it pissing me off sometimes.
If you tune into Olbermann or Matthews, I don't think you'll find anything balanced about those, particularly Olbermann.
I doubt you will find anything balanced on O'Reilly or Hannity, either. Colmes is an unbelievably poor counterpoint to Hannity and repeatedly lets Hannity steamroll right over him.
