  • I've changed my mind! I'm voting for her (child in pic)

Anyone else want to join me?

My dd's 3rd grade class is talking about our country's election process in Social Studies and they are talking about persuasive writing in English. So, the teacher has tied the two units together into a class project. They had to write a persuasive speech of why the class should vote for them for president (they aren't actually choosing a class president). Today was the day for them to present them. So, dd had to write her speech and do a poster. You can't see her shirt, but it is navy blue with a heart that has red/white stripes in it.

    Just thought I would share!

Oh, wouldn't it be nice if presidential campaigns and platforms were like my dd's 3rd grade class. She says that people should vote for her because she is helpful and kind. If you dropped a piece of paper, she would pick it up for you and if you needed help with your math problems, she would be available to help you. She also talked about how she spends some of her free time in school going down to the art room to help the teacher clean the class. And, how she wants more time to read and more educational movies.

        LOL! It's so sweet!
