  • Children must stand on your left

Has this happened to anyone else?

I took my children with me to vote and the poll worker told me that if they were to go into the booth with me they must both stand on my left side.

I did not ask her why as I did not want to cause trouble, but I find this very curious.

I didn't take my kids with me, but now that you mention it, when I saw parents with their kids at the voting booths, they were always on the left side. I have no idea why either.

Yes...the "CAST VOTE" button is on the right side, so I was told this also just to make sure he didn't push the button by mistake before I was ready.
But I did let him push it when I was done!

I had both kids with me, one on either side...

...the workers didnt say a thing but they did hear me tell the kids DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING UNTIL I TELL YOU YOU CAN.

The "vote" button for us was at the top of the screen, my kids could reach it, but with effort. I let my DD push that button and let my DS push the confirm box on the screen.

Not an issue at my polling place, but if there is a button that finalizes your vote on the right, they're probably trying to help you out!

Absolutely, that's how I took it. That button was lit up and very inviting!

I am sure that Laura is right ....

the buttons at the bottom of the screen where you could type in your write-in candidate's name were very inviting ....
